It is a family sanctuary, as its beginnings are related to the tradition of staying in the Marian Homes on Trsat (1291 - 1294) before arriving in Loreto. That is why Loreto is also a nursing sanctuary, and he has the title of HRVATSKI NAZARET. On May 10, 1291, the holy Nazareth house in which the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph lived, was transferred from Nazareth to Trsat.
